The new repeater is up and running but still some work to be done at the PD. We have been using it as a fire ground frequency. Some of the HT's have been done and we are testing out the coverage. The new frequency will go in Channel 1 of alll the FD radios. Channel 2 will be our paging and Firebase frequency. Channel 3 will Mutual Aid, Channel 4 will stilll be Fireground. The remaining frequencies will be determined by how many channels each radio has but Channel 5 will now be Griffith and the rest just bumped up one. The system will be set up so that the PD dispatcher will simultaneously broadcast on both the repeater output and the old paging frequency.
If you have a scanner, the new repeater frequencies are: 151.0025 out, 158.8875 in. Set your scanner to listen to the out frequency. If you cannot program in these 12.5Khz frequencies, put the closest one that you can, i.e. 151.0000. The repeater is strong enough that you should be able to hear it in town.

Congratulations to the Snyders on the birth of their Grandson, William James. According to Bill, William and Mom are doing just fine .
We have moved the website to a new server and have a new and I might add, our own web address. This is due to the town's consolidating all Internet services under one roof.
Working with Ed Dabrowski, we, the FD, have managed to keep our own site as long as I or my designee maintain it. There have been many minor changes and the move has been
has been rather transparent. We will be shutting down the old URL soon. The email for the department will also change to fire@highlandfd.com .
